Do you want to widen your social circle, develop new friendships, and strengthen your interpersonal skills?
If you do, The Lodge of Peace & Fraternity could be exactly what you are looking for!

Despite its relative youth (The Lodge of Peace and Fraternity was established in 1984, and has only met in Lewes since 2023), it continues to set new standards of Masonic enjoyment for both members and visitors alike. Being a membership-led lodge, it has made considerable efforts in recent years to fulfil its mission of providing the best Masonic experience at a competitive cost.
The lodge meets five times a year: on the third Thursday in March; April; June, and September, and the second Thursday in December. Meetings are conducted in accordance with the Sussex Ritual, and usually start at 17.30. Following each meeting, members adjourn to a local restaurant, or hostelry for dinner. The December Christmas dinner is usually a black tie event, and wives, partners and friends are welcome to join us.
As is the case with all lodges, charitable giving forms a central part of our raison d’etre, and we are pleased to support Masonic charities both nationally and locally; we also assist local non-Masonic charities and individuals. The lodge is a patron of the Association of Friends of Barford Court, which provides additional assistance to the residents of the Masonic residential home in Hove. Throughout the year, the lodge holds a voluntary class of instruction to assist members improve their Masonic knowledge and skills, and build presentational confidence. The class is an excellent way to meet members in an informal setting, and develop new life-long friendships. There are also a number of social events held throughout the year to which members, partners and friends are always made welcome.
The cost of membership is currently £160.00 a year, and dining is usually about £25.00.
